The High Oleic, Low Linolenic acid profile of VISTIVE oilseed rape differs significantly from conventional oilseed rape and from other market varieties such as the high Erucic acid (HEAR) varieties, in use but not in the appearance of the harvested oilseed rape grain.

Seed Production

Every bag of VISTIVE seed produced is safeguarded during planting, harvesting and processing to ensure that it meets seed production standards for the best conventional oilseed rape seed and passes the stringent QA standards for purity we demand of a VISTIVE variety.

Commercial Crop production

Many of the very best farmers choose to grow VISTIVE oilseed rape. The challenge of growing a crop developed at the forefront of modern conventional breeding techniques, demanding the highest standards of crop management and agronomy, coupled with the opportunity to play a part in developing a new food market sector, gives a real sense of achievement when the combines roll and the crop hits the store.

For VISTIVE , Quality Assurance begins with the decision to grow the crop, location of the field, position in the rotation and attention to detail in crop management. Distributor support during the growing of the crop ensures that most potential difficulties can be eliminated at an early stage.

At combining, protocol indicates the VISTIVE crop receives priority when it’s ready to cut and the crop should be transported and stored in isolation from any other oilseed rape. The samples sent  from every crop to the QA teams ensure that all crops are tested and approved for VISTIVE purity and standards before a movement passport is issued.

Further testing is done whenever the crop is moved to guarantee quality and traceability, high standards are paramount.
